Our Mission
Women in Motorsport Uganda (WIM) is an organization dedicated to breaking down barriers and fostering inclusivity in the motorsport industry. Our mission is to create a supportive environment that encourages women to challenge stereotypes, develop their skills, and excel in various motorsport disciplines. We aim to provide women with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to thrive in motorsport whether on the racetrack, in the cockpit, or behind the scenes as engineers, mechanics, officials, or other professionals.
Our Core Values
Promoting Participation
WIM is passionate about encouraging women to actively participate in motorsport events, both as competitors and Officials. We seek to inspire women of all ages and backgrounds to engage in the sport, break into traditionally male dominated spaces, and make their mark in the motorsport world. Whether you’re an aspiring racer or someone interested in the technical side of motorsport, we provide a platform for you to pursue your passion and showcase your talents.
Skills Development
We believe that skill development is essential to success in motorsport. WIM offers a variety of training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to help women enhance their knowledge and technical abilities. From racing techniques to mechanical engineering, our programs provide women with the hands on experience and expertise necessary to succeed in a wide range of motorsport disciplines. Our goal is to equip women with the tools they need to become leaders in the industry.
Advocacy for Gender Equality
As a driving force for change, WIM advocates for policies and initiatives that promote gender equality within the motorsport industry. We work collaboratively with industry stakeholders, organizations, and governing bodies to ensure that women have equal opportunities to compete, lead, and innovate in motorsport. Our advocacy efforts aim to shift perceptions and create an environment where women are recognized and valued for their skills, talent, and contributions to the sport.

WIM envisions a future where women are well represented at all levels of motorsport, from grassroots racing to the highest Officials ranks. We believe in the power of women supporting women, and through our work, we aim to inspire the next generation to pursue their dreams in motorsport without limitations.
